Position Summary

efelle creative is looking for an Account Management Team Lead to support client communication, project follow-through, account coordination, and team leadership across website design, development, support, and digital marketing accounts.

This is a hands-on client-facing role with an added leadership layer. You’ll help manage client communication, work orders, timelines, meeting notes, internal follow-up, reporting support, and post-launch account needs. You’ll also help train and support Account Coordinators, improve client communication standards, monitor account health, and support stronger client retention.

You’ll work closely with account managers, project managers, designers, developers, digital strategists, business development team members, and agency leadership to keep client work moving and make sure internal teams stay aligned.

The right person for this role is organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading by example. You should enjoy helping clients, supporting team members, solving problems, and making sure important details don’t fall through the cracks.

Evolving Role and Agency Direction

efelle is continuing to evolve toward a more consistent monthly-program model, with a stronger focus on ongoing client relationships, managed digital marketing, website optimization, retention, and long-term account growth.

As this shift continues, the Account Management Team Lead role will also continue to evolve. Priorities may change as we refine our processes, improve client programs, adjust team structure, and build better systems for managing recurring client work.

The right person for this role should be comfortable with some flexibility and change. This is a hands-on leadership role in a growing part of the agency, so we need someone who can help shape the process, adapt as priorities shift, and stay focused on improving client experience, team organization, and account retention.

You’re also comfortable supporting other team members. You know how to help people prioritize, give useful feedback, and keep the tone calm and productive when work gets busy.

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will support account management and client coordination across active website, support, and digital marketing accounts. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage clear, timely client communication and make sure clients understand project status, next steps, timelines, and open items
  • Prepare, review, and organize client-facing materials, including meeting notes, reports, proposals, work orders, project updates, and follow-up items
  • Lead or support client meetings, document key decisions, and coordinate internal follow-up so assigned work continues moving forward
  • Help onboard new clients by organizing project materials, access needs, timelines, communication expectations, and internal handoffs
  • Field client requests, route work to the right internal team members, and help keep website projects, support requests, work orders, and marketing tasks on track
  • Maintain a strong working understanding of assigned clients’ businesses, goals, active priorities, and ongoing account needs
  • Review reports, campaign updates, and project notes so clients understand what is happening, what changed, and what comes next
  • Help identify appropriate opportunities for website improvements, support work, SEO, paid media, social media, content, and other client services
  • Support client relationships, internal teams, and agency goals as needed

Team Lead Responsibilities

In addition to core account management responsibilities, the Account Management Team Lead will also:

  • Help train and support Account Coordinators on efelle’s client communication standards, internal workflows, tools, documentation, and follow-up processes
  • Serve as the first point of support for Account Coordinators when they need help prioritizing work, handling client questions, or resolving day-to-day account issues
  • Participate in bi-weekly Team Lead meetings to share updates from the Account Coordinator team, communicate team needs or concerns, and bring relevant company updates back to the team
  • Review client communication, meeting notes, work orders, and account documentation as needed to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Monitor account health across assigned clients, including communication gaps, missed follow-ups, client concerns, retention risks, and opportunities for additional support
  • Help identify client needs that may lead to website improvements, support work, digital marketing services, or other growth opportunities
  • Escalate client issues, workload concerns, project risks, or retention concerns to leadership early
  • Help improve account management processes, templates, checklists, and internal handoffs as the team grows
  • Support stronger client retention by helping Account Coordinators keep clients informed, organized, and confident in the agency relationship

Required Skills and Experience

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Prior experience in an agency, marketing, web, creative, or fast-paced professional services environment
  • Experience working on or around website projects
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, BigCommerce, or another CMS platform
  • Experience making basic website content updates
  • Basic understanding of SEO, paid search, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and digital marketing reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize details, manage follow-up, and keep multiple projects moving at once
  • Confidence communicating with clients by email, phone, video call, and in meetings
  • Comfort working with designers, developers, marketers, sales teams, and project leads
  • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into clear internal direction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good judgment when prioritizing tasks and escalating issues
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management or task management tools
  • Ability to support, coach, and guide other team members in a constructive way
  • Comfort working in a role where priorities, processes, and expectations may evolve as the agency grows

Nice to Have

These are not required, but they are helpful:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, public relations, business administration, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Google Analytics or Google Ads certification
  • Familiarity with website launch processes
  • Basic HTML and CSS familiarity
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop experience for image resizing, cropping, asset extraction, or simple edits
  • Experience working with client support tickets, retainers, or ongoing website maintenance requests
  • Prior experience training, mentoring, or supporting junior team members

Compensation

This role includes leadership compensation and eligibility for a retention-based bonus tied to account health, client retention, and team support.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. But you do need to be curious, organized, dependable, and willing to help improve how websites, digital marketing, account management, and client relationships work together.
