eCommerce Website Design and Development for Water Sports Brand

Ronix Wakeboards is an independently run wakeboard design, manufacturing, and sales company that promises quality products built on years of experience and intense, dedicated research—they even have their own “private aquatic lab” where they do all their own testing. Ronix team members pride themselves on defying norms and being at the vanguard of watersport technology.

Project Objectives

The Ronix team is at once chill, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about what they do. Their new website needed to reflect the vibe of the company’s key players while letting its incredible product line shine brightest of all.

Website Design and Development Efforts

Our homepage design opens on a user-controlled masthead slider that gives the Ronix team space to show off bold, hi-res imagery of their products in action. Moving down the page, users are treated to next-level parallax scrolling effects that breathe life into the action-oriented photography. The calls to action are focused on guiding users toward store categories or new product lines, and a newsletter sign-up form stands stark against a stunning black-and-white image in the page’s footer.

Users can access the store pages and other areas of the site through a “sticky” main navigation menu that we built to act as a “megamenu”—the Ronix team can uploaded images to be featured in the background of product category links, making navigation feel both fun and modern while giving users another sense of what they’re about to explore.

Product category pages are laid out cleanly on a grid, with easy-to-access sorting and filtering options located to the top and left-hand side of the grid, respectively. The listed products have alternative images available on hover that show the products in action.

The product detail pages act as even bigger crowd pleasers: From the faded full-width background imagery in the above-the-fold area to highly engaging video sections to thegorgeous product gallery sliders (all navigable within a single page and controlled by tabbing through a sticky navigation menu), the product detail pages are stylish, interactive, and SEO friendly.

Like its sister company, Radar Skis, the eCommerce portion of the Ronix Wakeboards website is built on Quivers—an order fulfillment application that helps connect brands to dealers and dealers to consumers.
