A Web Design Tour of Seattle: 9 Cool Things to Eat & Do in the Emerald City

We’re More than Just Professional Web Designers and Developers—Let Us Be Your Seattle Tour Guides, Too

New to Seattle? Taking a weekend trip up from Portland? Let efelle help you explore the city!

Here at efelle, we love working with local businesses and over the years have grown a number of great partnerships with companies that we think make Seattle special. Whether you’re looking for something to nosh on, hoping to get some retail therapy in, or wanting to quench your thirst at a cool spot, we’ve got great suggestions for everyone!

Eat This

Pagliacci Pizzapaglipizzablog.png

Available at multiple locations throughout the Seattle area, Pagliacci is a Seattle staple when it comes to excellent take-out and delivery pizza. For a particularly tasty slice made with locally sourced ingredients, try Salumi’s Spicy Pepperoni (which gets its namesake from Seattle’s own Salumi Cured Meats) or the 12th Man Primo (featuring PNW-based Mama Lil's peppers).

What are we currently craving? The Peachza Primo—an adventurous seasonal pie topped with layers of locally grown peaches, Italian cured pork loin, fresh arugula, and mozzarella.

Little Sheep Hot Pot

Little Sheep Hot Pot serves authentic and delicious dishes steeped in over a thousand years of tradition while also bringing a sense of community and shared experience to every table. Hot pot has become one of Seattle’s favorite quick ways to warm up—both physically and in the Scoville-scale sense—and Little Sheep offers some of the best hot pot around.

Taylor Shellfish Farmstaylorblog.png

Seattleites live for seafood and Taylor Shellfish is among the best vendors out there.

While they now sell their awesome ocean fare online (via their award-winning website courtesy of efelle #humblebrag), TSF is perhaps best known in the Seattle area for their highly acclaimed oyster bars. With multiple locations to choose from, you’re never far from a shellfish fix.

Sip This

oldstove.pngOld Stove Brewing Co.

Nestled in the famous Pike Place Market waterfront, the Old Stove Brewery taproom offers delicious craft beer, cider, and wine.

Voted Best Brewery Taproom by Seattle Magazine, Old Stove also offers a full food menu of locally and seasonally sourced ingredients and has some of the best views in the city. Just read what the Old Stove team has to say about their space:

“The entire 80-foot western window wall of our space opens completely, allowing for guests to soak up fantastic views of Elliot Bay, the Olympic Mountains, and marine traffic while enjoying a fresh craft drink and a meal made to order. Sunsets are a particularly great time to visit when the entire space fills with a golden northwest light just before the sun drops behind the Olympic Mountain Range. It’s truly a sight (and a beer) to behold.”

J.P. Trodden Distilling

Woodinville-based J.P. Trodden blends quality craftsmanship with local flavors, distilling each small batch of bourbon from “corn and winter wheat sourced locally from Washington state.” Better yet, they use American-manufactured equipment and products from the start of their distilling process through bottling.

If you’re looking to add a little whiskey to your weekend and want to do a little learning at the same time, book a distillery tour and tasting. Tours are available most Saturdays of the year.

Papa Bueno Tequilapapabueno.jpg

Papa Bueno’s tequila may now be available nationwide (just check out their “Where to Buy” store locator), but the brand has a distinctly Seattle appeal. Not only is their product distilled from quality sun-ripened Jalisco highlands agave, Papa Bueno also promotes a community-oriented lifestyle which is all about “giving back, lifting and supporting”—they call it “Being Bueno.” Papa Bueno as a company embodies this motto by promoting local musicians and giving back to the community whenever they can.

Better yet, their products are amazing—Papa Bueno tequila is smooth enough to be served up straight but can also be added to your favorite margarita or paloma drink to make it even more special.

Ride This
