Spike, Set, Match: Our eCommerce Site for Volleyball Experts Cobra Volleyball is Live

Founded in the heart of beach volleyball country, Cobra Sports made its way onto the scene in 1992 in Santa Rosa, California. They were founded out of the desire for safety and ease of set-up and tear down for avid volleyball players. The kits allow for set-up almost anywhere on the beach and since their beginnings they’ve since expanded their product line and created offices all over the country.

Design & Development Achievements

This eCommerce site was developed on the BigCommerce system--a platform we choose often for clients who are looking to grow and want a system that will grow with them.

We worked with the Cobra Volleyball team to strategize a sitemap that would make most sense for clients to find the products they need most. With a wide variety of nets and volleyball products, we wanted to make a clear bath for indoor/outdoor systems, pool volleyball, beach tennis, and badminton. From the product overview pages, you are also able to toggle between the different products to make comparisons, as well as search based upon price.

The product pages use a tie in with Google customer reviews, features videos that show off the product, and includes product bundles. As a site with a larger Average-Order-Value, the team at Cobra wanted to include as many photos, videos, and information as possible in order to build trust with their potential customers.

After the site launch, we’ve partnered with the Cobra team to create some remarketing ads to site visitors as well as strategized with them on some ongoing marketing tactics. We are excited to watch their business grow on a platform that will expand as their needs grow!
