Hairball Audio was formed in 2007 while owner Michael Mabie was building a small project studio in his home. Having spent time in large recording studios, he was well aware of how great music could sound when recorded well, with quality equipment. Quickly he began to realize that most classic gear was not affordable and the less expensive knocks-offs lacked sonic impact. After exploring the world of DIY, he was instantly hooked to the empowering activity that allowed him to build, tweak and repair his own equipment and Hairball Audio was born.

Hairball Audio came to efelle looking for a responsive web design that highlighted their main product lines, their commitment to local manufacturing and the empowering DIY experience. Our designs responded with an innovative and unique scrolling homepage design with high quality images and video to help tell their story and showcase their other offerings including assembly guides, a sound library, and troubleshooting guides.
Hairball's new website is managed through our website content management system, FusionCMS, which allows them to update their products and images while building organic search engine optimization. Their site also incorporates staff profiles, a tech savvy blog and social media integration.
