When it comes to content marketing, blogging can play a huge role in growing your organic SEO. For those in the AEC Industry, it’s a great way to connect with customers and grow your business.

1. A Day in the Life

In terms of recruitment as well as sharing more about your business, you could walk through the day in the life of one of your employees or what you do day to day. Sharing photos of meetings, visiting construction or work sites, and everything in between can be interesting to both clients and potential employees.

2. Share Your Process

Does your firm do the entire process of design build? How do you do a needs assessment for your clients? What’s your quality assurance process? Walk through the process of a project build at a high level to share so clients can know what to expect! This is a great way to help clients prepare and see what it’s like to work with you, as well as a great way to build up organic SEO.

3. Highlight Team Members

A great way to build out your brand is by highlighting members of your team on a blog post. As the expert, you often make choices for materials for a reason that most clients may not know! Take the time to walk through the materials and pros and cons of each. Whether you’re a home builder and sharing the difference between granite and quartz for countertops, or a commercial contractor sharing why you use steel vs. wood in some areas of your build, there’s lots of options!

Whether you’ve been around for 10 years of 100 years, there’s definitely some history to your business. Are there materials people choose when they shouldn’t? Or are they asking for something that is too trendy that they’ll regret down the line? List out what these potential common mistakes are to help readers avoid making them in the future. Again, this is a great way to build trust and help your readers out.

10. Questions to Ask When Building

Are there questions you recommend someone ask when speaking with a builder? Do you often hear the same questions? Take the time to share what those questions are to help your potential clients out. Oftentimes, clients may now know the right questions to ask, so if you’re willing to take the time and share with them what they should be asking about, you’re not only going to bring efficiency into your own process, but you’ll also build trust with your readers.
