New Website is the Perfect Remedy for Northwest Abatement's Online Marketing Game
Service Website Launched for Building Inspection and Remediation Company Based Near Seattle, WA
Founded in 1994, Northwest Abatement Services, Inc. specializes in mold remediation and the inspection, removal and disposal of asbestos, lead, and other potentially harmful substances still found in many homes today. In addition, NWA offers response services (like fire and water damage restoration) as well as preventative services (like duct and dryer vent cleaning) that help ensure a structure's long-term indoor air quality.
Project Objectives
The Northwest Abatement Services team approached efelle looking to completely overhaul their website. Their current site was looking outdated and featured a lot of heavy technical language guaranteed to throw off a number of prospective customers. Their goals for the website redesign included making it user-friendly, informative, and appealing to residential, industrial and commercial clientele.
Website Design Inspiration
With a focus on making each page feel “clean” and accessible, our team made good use of negative and white space throughout the design process. This allows both large-scale imagery and description fields to feel more impactful.
In terms of color palette, our designers used NWA's signature red as the primary accent hue, bringing it in to highlight calls to action and add brand character to each page. It also works to add consistency across the site, making the user journey feel cohesive and getting each visitor familiar with the NWA brand.
Likewise, playful iconography gives the company an approachable feel while also improving the sense of uniformity around the site; visual cues can aid users in connecting with the content while making navigation more intuitive. Relatedly, smart use of navigation menus within each area enhance the usability of the website and encourage visitors to continue on their journeys; this helps reduce bounce and increase engagement.
Website Development Successes
As we built out the Northwest Abatement Services homepage, we focused on making it easy to explore and fun to use. For example, a tabbed content area right below the initial masthead features the aforementioned iconography coupled with each area’s respective headings and encourages users to click through to learn all about NWA’s offerings.
The Service overview pages have great flow and present the information in readable blocks that inspire a deeper dive into the visitor’s area of interest. The detail pages are just as cleanly structured and feature a quote request form as well as image galleries of NWA’s process. All of this helps educate users on NWA's core offerings, while showcasing the positive impact their team can have on a home, property, or business.
In addition, our team also built out a Blog area for the NWA team to keep customers up to date on the latest in company and industry news.
