Established in 1934 by Howard Bargreen, Crown began distributing beer throughout WWII, and sold mostly Rainier in the years to follow. In 1958, the company reorganized as a family corporation with a total of 9 employees. In 1970, the company began retailing Budweiser Beer (which became the area's most popular brand by the late-80s).

Crown Distributing now has almost 100 employees and distributes the products of 23 brewing and beverage companies.
