A Seattle Favorite Emerald City Smoothie Has a Redesigned Website!
We’re Excited to Share Our Redesign of Our Long-Time Client Emerald City Smoothie!
Emerald City Smoothie not only has a number of locations throughout the Puget Sound area, they also serve happy customers in Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, and Utah. Their success is due to the quality ingredients, amazing customer service, and delicious smoothies. As they’ve grown over the years, they were looking to update their site to reflect a more holistic view of health, as they offer their delicious smoothies to everyone from families to athletes to health fanatics.
Website Design
We were excited to work with Emerald City Smoothie as they evolved their business to a new look that better reflected their audiences. Their previous site was more targeted towards a fitness-based audience, and the new site reflects their more holistic approach to health - providing options no matter what their customer's goals may be.
We reflected the multiple goals their users have throughout the website design, allowing users to sort menu options based on what their goals are. Whether it’s growing muscle, adding in a healthy snack throughout the day, or simply finding a convenient healthy option for a meal, they make it easy for users to find the perfect smoothie for them.
The previous site was more text-based, and we were excited to use their previous content in a way that was more visually appealing and easily digestible by users. We implemented site-wide changes like adding boosters to the menu and adding visuals for each, allowing users to better navigate through all their amazing options.
We also designed beautiful new product pages for each smoothie and acai bowl that show off the ingredients, important nutrition facts, and what goal category it falls into immediately on the masthead. We then build out the Nutrition Facts that can be toggled based on size ordered so users can easily make note of the nutritional value in their smoothie. From there, we again highlight the different boosters that can be added to the smoothie for customers to further customize their smoothie order to fit their needs.
Website Development
The site was built with the latest version of our FusionCMS system that the ECS team was familiar with. This allows for the custom design we created, as well as easy use on the backend of the website for the Emerald City Smoothie team. With FusionCMS, the ECS team is able to easily add new smoothies, update with new ingredients, add and edit locations, and more. This is great for a franchise that is looking to expand so they can easily update the site and then focus again on growing their business.
Another great aspect of the website build is the location map that we created. The locations map allows users to type in their address, zip code, or state and find all Emerald City Smoothie locations near them. They can then filter based on pick-up or dine-in options and are then directed to a landing page for each location, or they can get directions right from the map page itself. The UX of this page was really important so that we reduced any potential barriers that would stop a user from finding a location.
